Halloween has always been a fun reason to celebrate ghouly ghasts and haunted houses, but on Sunday, October 31st, 2010 there is another reason to get out and celebrate. We’re playing our debut show in Portland, Oregon after a long transition from Chicago. Grab your sweetest costume and your dancing shoes and get down to the Hawthorne Theater at 1507 SE 39th Ave, Portland, Oregon. The doors open at 7pm, $8 and we’re playing with Andrew’s Ave, Times New Roman, and Sam Wegman.

Onto more news… More than 2 years after leaving our families and friends in Fort Collins, Colorado, we’re heading back for a homecoming show on Saturday, November 13th, 2010! It is going to be totally awesome and if you’re in the area, you don’t want to miss it. We’ll be playing songs from our album, From Satellites, a couple new songs, and a cover or two… so get ready. This show is going to be a “Sunglasses” show, so bring some cool shades to dance in. The show is at Everyday Joe’s at 144 S. Mason St, Fort Collins, Colorado. Doors open at 7pm, $5, and we’re playing with our GREAT friends, Delicious Penguins and Monsters And Fairytales. GET TO THIS SHOW!

I was looking at our blog and I decided that we are terrible with updates. I love what Nick did with that give-away banner but I’m sick of looking at it. So I’m going to fill in our reader(s?) with the progress Nick and I have made in our few months together here in Portland!

Nick and I have had many practice/beer drinking sessions at his place toying with new musical ideas and discussing the direction we are heading. There are a number of fun little bits and pieces we have been tossing back and forth and we are feeling good about how our sound is developing. We couldn’t be more happy with how our recent change in location seems to be giving us killer inspiration. Look out cause these are going to be SO fun.

In addition to writing new material we’ve also been scoping out possible venues in P-Town. We have made some quick lists of some places to check out before we send out some music and info to try and land some gigs. We hope to have our first show in Portland very very very very very soon. (sooner than that sounds)

One last thing to hint at. Nick and I have been working on recording a fun cover to post on our site for your sweet little ears. Stay tuned in the next week or so to hear one of our favorite songs done AYIG Style!

Ask You In Gray has been asked to play for a fundraiser for the Tympanic Theatre! This show should be fun! We’ll be playing with Earth Program and Rabbit Children! [Check out their myspace pages!]

The show is only $6 and is going to be oh so fun. We’ve got new gear and new songs, so make sure you come ready to move, exercise, dance, sway, clap, sing, possibly line-dance…! (you never know)

So the Elbo Room in Chicago has this thing called the Rockstar Mafia where local Chicago bands enter a song and a everyone votes whether or not it should be on the Rockstar Mafia compilation CD… Well, that was last night, SUNDAY, and tonight, MONDAY.
